’Ōire Southern California is a cultural village project celebrating the lived experiences of Cook Islands peu Māori (traditions and customs) through ancestor pieces (artifacts) and educational activities.

In bringing awareness to the Indigenous spiritual, cultural, and environmental practices of the Cook Islands we seek to grow piri’anga (connections) between ’iti tangata (our people) in the continental United States and our ipukarea (ancestral homeland).
